🎯 Your mission

As the Senior SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for driving Playtomic's online presence by optimizing our website and content to rank highly on search engines across global markets. Your role will focus on increasing organic traffic and improving search visibility through strategic search engine optimization. With Playtomic operating in 59+ countries, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape SEO strategies for a global audience and make a measurable impact.


👩🏽‍💻 What you’ll be doing

1. SEO Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a global SEO strategy to improve search engine rankings, increase organic traffic, and enhance user engagement.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and trend monitoring to optimize web content for search engines.
  • Create and execute localized SEO strategies to improve search visibility across different markets and languages.


2. On-page and Off-page Optimization:

  • Ensure on-page SEO best practices are followed, optimizing titles, meta descriptions, headings, URL structures, and content for search engines.
  • Manage link-building strategies and partnerships to improve the site's authority and rankings.
  • Define technical SEO improvements to enhance site performance, including page speed, mobile optimization, and crawlability.


3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics such as traffic, rankings, and conversions.
  • Generate actionable insights from SEO performance data to continually optimize strategies.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to keep Playtomic competitive in search results.

4. Content Strategy Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to align SEO efforts with content marketing strategies.
  • Provide SEO recommendations for new content, landing pages, and blog posts to ensure they are optimized for search engines.
  • Work with copywriters to create high-quality, keyword-rich content that drives organic traffic.


5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with developers, design, and product teams to ensure SEO best practices are embedded into website architecture and product development.
  • Partner with the analytics team to track user behavior and refine SEO strategies based on insights from search performance and traffic data.


6. A/B Testing and Experimentation:

  • Conduct A/B testing on SEO-related changes such as title tags, meta descriptions, and page layouts to assess their impact on search visibility and conversion.
  • Apply an experimental mindset to test new approaches and continuously improve organic traffic performance.


7. Competitor and Market Analysis:

  • Perform ongoing competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation in organic search.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and adjust SEO strategies to stay ahead of competitors in key regions and markets.


8. SEO Tools and Automation:

  • Manage and implement SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or other platforms to streamline performance tracking, keyword research, and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging SEO tools and technologies, incorporating new techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

You'll be working in our User Acquisition team and reporting to the Head of User Acquisition.

Proven experience in SEO with a strong track record of improving website rankings, organic traffic, and conversions.

  • Expertise in using SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar platforms.
  • Practical experience with keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, and technical SEO.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Familiarity with Google search algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
  • A passion for digital marketing and a deep understanding of how users search and engage with online content.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on achieving measurable results.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aligned with our company values and demonstrates them in both professional and personal interactions.
  • Available to work from Playtomic HQ offices (located in Madrid) 1x per month.
